RD Sethna Scholarship Fund, Mumbai announces RD Sethna Scholarship 2014 for Studies in India and Abroad for students who passed class 10th and students who have secured not less than 50% in their academics
Scholarship Details
The RD Sethna Scholarship Fund grants only loan scholarships to students who are citizens of India, regardless of community, caste or creed Loan scholarships are granted to enable students to undertake scientific, technical, industrial or commercial studies in India and overseas on the condition that they are repayable with interest in terms of the agreement and other documents required be entering into and executing by applicants and their male guarantors All Applications should be made on the prescribed Form, which can be obtained on request from the Trust office No Forms will be sent to intending applicants by post, unless the request is accompanied by payment of Rs.50/- either by a Postal Order or by demand draft in favour of RD Sethna Scholarship Fund
COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility
Criteria Only those applicants who have passed at least the Secondary School Certificate examination or other equivalent examination and who have secured not less than 50% of the total marks in the last examination given by them prior to the making of the applications are eligible to apply for a loan scholarship

Once the application gets selected, the applicant will be getting a reward in the form of load scholarship and then he could easily pursue his studies overseas or within India Once the application gets selected, the loan scholarships will be paid to the student in installments depending on the trustees by looking at the condition of each individual
Selection Criteria
i) Academic record of the Student; ii) Financial Status of the Parents
Final Selection of Student for RD Senthna Scholarship
i) Only successful applicants would be further informed and no intimation will be provided to rejected applicants in granting loan scholarships
ii) The loan scholarships has to be availed with 6 weeks from the date they are stated to be required, if the applicant or his guarantor somehow fails to show up or could not complete the required formalities within 4 weeks then the loan shall be cancelled without any prior notice

How to Apply
All Applications should be made on the prescribed Form, which can be obtained on request from the Trust office No Forms will be sent to intending applicants by post, unless the request is accompanied by payment of Rs.50/- either by a Postal Order or by demand draft in favour of RD Sethna scholarship fund Applicants must also send a self addressed Rs.10/- stamped envelope of size: 23 cm x 10 cm. Applicants must indicate whether the Form is required for studies in India or overseas Applicants must submit letters of recommendation from 2 recommenders who are permanent residents in Mumbai he application form must be legibly filled in and must be accompanied by the following documents Documents needed with the application form Mark Sheet: Certified copies of the Mark sheets of marks secured by the applicant at each examination commencing with the Secondary School Certificate Exam or other equivalent examination A copy of the letter of admission to the college, Institution or University at which the applicant intends to undertake studies In the case of applicants who have secured admission to USA Universities or Institutions must enclose a copy of the Form I-20 For studies in India the applicant must produce the receipt of the admission fees paid to the College or Institution Salary certificate or copy of income-tax assessment order of the parents and the person proposed as guarantor Letter of Admission: *a single copy of the letter of admission to the particular college or institution at which applicant seeks to study Abroad: Applicants who are willing to study abroad like in USA universities then they must attach a copy of them form 1-20 whereas to study in India, makes mandatory for an applicant to produce the receipt of the admission fees paid to the institution India: Applicants whiling to study in India must not forget to submit proof of the recognition granted to the institute by the Govt of India Salary Statement of Parents and Guarantor: Salary certificate or copy of income tax assessment order of the parents and the person proposed as guarantor Letter of Recommendation: Copies of testimonial or letters of recommendations given to the applicant must be attached Passport Size Photograph: A passport size photograph is needed which should be duly certified by S.E.M or any Gazetted Officer of head of renowned college where applicant has studied or is studying at present Important Date Last date to send filled application form is: 31st August 2014
